Stephen Bozovich

LTC Stephen Bozovich entered military service in 2000 upon signing an Army ROTC scholarship at the University of Delaware. He was commissioned as an Aviation 2nd Lieutenant in 2003 and attended US Army Aviation Flight School in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. His first assignment was with the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) in Ft. Drum, NY where he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and combat helicopter pilot in Afghanistan.

In 2007, LTC Bozovich completed special operations aviation assessment with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) (SOAR). He was selected and assigned to Ft. Campbell, KY for Officer Green Platoon. He conducted rigorous special operations training for the MH-60 Assault Helicopter in desert, arctic, urban, and overwater environments with the specific mission tasks of aerial gunnery, air-to-air refueling, shipboard/deck landing operations, and USSOCOM Infiltration/Exfiltration procedures. In 2008, LTC Bozovich was assigned to 3/160th SOAR(A), where he served as a Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Company Commander (2 companies), and Battalion Executive Officer. He deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, UAE, Colombia, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Brazil, and Trinidad & Tobago supporting US Special Operations Forces, US Secret Service, and Other Governmental Agencies.

LTC Bozovich was assigned to Ft. Bragg, NC in 2017, where he served as the Chief of Special Programs for Army Special Operations Aviation. His final assignment was with the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) where he served as a special assistant and the deputy director for the Commanding General’s Action Group. He is currently awaiting medical retirement for injuries sustained in the line of duty.LTC Bozovich is a graduate of the Aviation Officer Basic Course, Captains Career Course, Command and General Staff Course, US Army Flight School, Combatives, Airborne, and Air Assault Courses. He holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the National Defense University. He is rated in the TH-67 (Bell 206), OH-58 A/C Scout Helicopter, UH-60 A/L Assault Helicopter, and MH-60 L/M Mission Assault Helicopter. He is a Pilot-in-Command with over 2,000 hours of total flight time, with more than 1,000 of those hours in combat.

LTC Bozovich’s Awards Consist of: the Bronze Star Medal (3 oak leaf clusters), Air Medal (with numeral 2), Meritorious Service Medal (with 3 oak leaf clusters) Army Commendation Medal, and NATO Service Medal. He is a Master Army Aviator and was awarded the Combat Action Badge, Air Assault Badge, and Airborne Badge.
